House Updates : Full Bathroom

Jared just completed the remodel of our full bathroom just a few weeks ago. I am very pleased to see the canary yellow gone. Thank you, thank you, thank you.... Jared, you are the best!

List of updates:

• removed yellow/white 70's style tile
• removed bulky over head lighting and added new light fixture
• added drywall, textured and painted
• re-tiled the surround to the bathtub
• removed yellow counter top and added new counter top
• replaced sink, facet, misc. hardware and floor vent

House Updates : The Kids Bedrooms

As far as updating goes these two rooms had the least amount of work involved.  And currently Colin's room looks way more crowded due to adding his baby sister to his space:)

The list of updates:

• new paint in both rooms - Makenna's room was painted twice because the first shade of green was not dark enough.
• new carpet in Colin/Kyla's room - Jared used the carpet he tore up in the living/dining room area because it was new carpet when we moved in and it matched the hallway carpet.

House Updates : Living/Dining/Kitchen

This area of the house has by far had the most work done on it. What Jared has been able to accomplish has been far beyond any expectation I have had.

The list of updates:

• removed the wall separating the kitchen from the Dining/Living Room
• replaced the wall with columns and beam
• rewired the electrical in the wall that was removed
• replaced carpet with wood floors in living and dining room
• removed vinyl flooring from kitchen and replaced it with wood floors
• removed wall paper, textured and painted
• built island, which added seating and storage
• removed counter tops and sink
• added granite counter tops and a stainless steel sink
• new tile back splash
• new light fixtures in kitchen

House Updates

We have been living in our current house for 3 years now and it is finally time to document all the hard work Jared has put into remodeling our home.

So the next week or so is going to be dedicated to Jared's amazing remodel effort. Hope you all enjoy the pictures. I know I sure enjoy living with the updates.

To begin lets start with the front yard.

Updates:

• painted shutters (thank you Tyler)
• painted trim around the windows (thanks dad for helping Jared)
• new landscaping (removed old bushes, added new plants, added huge rock, and added pavers and colored mulch)
