Interview With Colin

A few weeks back I decided to do interviews with each kiddo. My goal was to document a few of the milestones they have accomplished and to get their sweet voices on video. Just some things this mama wants to remember.

This is Colin's interview.

Princess Makenna

Makenna has began to fully embrace a love for princesses lately.
She has only see two movies I can think of that have princesses in them but the majority of her day is spent wanting to pretend to be one of them. She flip-flops between Rapunzel and Cinderella. And will definitely let you know when she is in character because she will not answer to Makenna.
That being said I also think she wears a princess dress 80% of the day only taking it off to nap and eat. I was joking the other day with Jared and said "I don't even know why I bother getting her dressed in the morning all she ever really wants to wear is a princess dress" :)

It is fun to have a little girl and to watch her fully delight in being girly. It is also fun to watch her reenact the story lines to Tangled and Cinderella, which I am surprised at how detailed she can be at times. It is even more fun when she is able to convince Colin to play along with her and he just follows her around and does what she wants. I wonder how long that will last:)

Nests

Sometimes you just have to wonder and laugh at the same time when experiencing life with small children.

Recently for me watching my kiddos build 'nests' has brought about these feelings. These said 'nests' as Makenna calls them usually are built in a closet, have a wide variety of items in them (books, tools, doll house toys, stuffed animals, shoes, blankets), keep the kiddos busy for quite awhile, and take even longer to sort through and put everything away.

I love that they imagine together and have fun doing so. It is such fun witnessing. But it really makes me wonder how they came up with the idea and why it is so much fun. But really who cares because all the members involved love the game of building 'nests'.

Here are a few pictures of their handiwork.

Finally Some Snow

This winter has been a bummer of a year for snow. Makenna has been wanting to build a big snowman all winter. She had to wait until March, but she finally she got her wish.
