Father's Day - Ledges State Park

 On Father's Day we headed to Ledges State Park for picnic lunch. The weather was great and we all had a great time.

 

 

 

Colin @ 2 Years

Colin finally had his two year appointment yesterday.  The doctor gave him a big thumbs up as far as a two-year-old boy is concerned.

Here are his stats:

Height : 36 inches
Weight : 30 pounds

Some other new things Colin has recently started to do/take interest in.

• counting 1-10
• saying his ABC's
• trying to verbally spell his name
• he is talking in more full sentences to communicate what he wants
• pretending (mostly because that is all his big sister ever wants to play)
• wrestling with daddy
• riding his bike (hopefully I will get a video of him soon)
• he finally said "I love you" to both Jared and I just the other day.
• he is constantly saying "me too"
• he is currently working on getting his 2-year molars

And as far as his 2 year pictures go it is nearly impossible to get pictures of him without a runny nose or some sort of bump/bruise on his face. This is my goal for next week. So stay tuned.

Camping at Lake Rathbun

The last weekend in May my sister and her family were visiting from Texas. Because they were back in Iowa for a whole week my family decided to have a small 2 day vacation at Lake Rathbun.

Busy, Busy Busy

Life with three kiddos is busy to say the least. Don't get me wrong the transition from 2 to 3 was not bad at all. In reality it went as smoothly as possible.

That being said I still am getting used to life with three little ones in the house. I have very little time to spend doing anything other than addressing their needs, wants, and behavior issues. Therefore the blog has been neglected to say the least. Really it is has not bee a priority to keep the world wide web up to date with all the happenings around here. But it is a priority for me to catch the blog up to speed because I personally enjoy looking back on all our posts and remembering...kinda like an online journal with pictures.

My point is this....keep checking back over the next few days/weeks because there will definitely be some fun pictures to look at and some updates to read about.
